  • Sustainability

At Pearl Hyde Primary School, we are committed to building a sustainable future for our pupils, our community, and the wider world. As part of our wider commitment, we actively follow our Multi-Academy Trust's  sustainability action plan, and we are excited to be developing our very own school-specific action plan to further strengthen our impact.

We are proud to work alongside Let’s Go Zero, joining a national movement of schools working towards becoming zero carbon. Sustainability is embedded in our curriculum and school life, encouraging our pupils to take responsibility and become passionate advocates for environmental change.

Our dedicated Eco Team, made up of enthusiastic pupils from across the school, plays a leading role in driving forward our initiatives. From reducing waste and improving recycling to promoting energy saving and biodiversity, our children are at the heart of making meaningful change.

This year, we are working towards achieving the prestigious Eco-Schools Green Flag award. This internationally recognised accreditation celebrates the environmental achievements of young people and highlights our commitment to sustainability, pupil leadership, and real-world impact.

There is so much more to come. We have many exciting projects and initiatives planned, and we look forward to sharing more about our sustainability journey very soon.
