Our attendance team at Pearl Hyde monitor pupils attendance weekly to ensure the children are getting the most from their education. In helping this process, we have a school pet, Tiddles. He is our herman tortoise and is four years old. The class that has the highest attendance for the week, gets to have Tiddles visit their classroom for the following week. During that time, they will change his food and water daily, have him out so he can stretch his legs, and make him feel part of their class. We also have an attendance bear, Paddington, who will spend the week in the class too.
The pupils with the highest attendance each term, will be invited for a tea party with Mrs Denton. They will also receive a certificate.
